After Installation
Allow the new epoxy coat to cure or dry before walking on it. Depending on the temperature when the epoxy coat was installed, foot traffic (light) can already be allowed. A 72 hour drying time is required before you can reposition the furniture in your garage. After 7 days, you can already bring in the cars inside the garage.
Regular Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance of your epoxy floor is importance so you can maintain its aesthetic appearance. Regular cleaning also helps to extend the life of the coating. It does not take much energy to maintain epoxy floors.
Here are some tips on what to do:
Mop the epoxy floor every so often.
Hose the floor and clean up with a squeegee.
Clean the floor with a broom with soft bristles.
Wipe off drippings from your car and some minor spills with a soft cloth or paper towel.
Get rid of tire marks by soaking the area with a cleaner or degreaser. Use a scrubbing pad to remove the tire marks.
